Hi and welcome to Discover MWR! Are you up for a challenge? If so, read on! I don’t mean just like a physical challenge (although what’s wrong with that?), but also something that might introduce you to subject matter that you might not have considered before.
For example, in case you would like a fun idea – we have a little game that we play at the office in order to pique our creativity. This is especially helpful after lunch time here when we’ve had too much pizza and are getting sleepy! We’ll open the dictionary and arbitrarily point to a word on whatever page we happen on – and whatever the word is, we have to learn it and use it in a sentence. It is an exercise and challenge that makes us laugh and gets our energy levels boosted up a notch.
Just in case you want a quick example, I came across the word, “fungus.” Now, most of us knew what “fungus” is – at least we knew that it relates to mushrooms and stuff like that. We all just sort of kept repeating the word, “fungus.” It began to sound kind of humorous in a “bored at the office” kind of way. Instantly someone says, “There’s a fungus among us…” haha – most of us hadn’t heard that one since we were 12. Not that this has anything whatsoever to do with the projects ahead of us, but while we get things aligned here at Discover MWR, maybe it will keep you coming back for more!
